Design Machine Tech was founded by Dennis Seldon a hands-on machinist with a lifetime of experience turning ideas into precision parts. What started as a passion for building — from Lego Technic and BMX parts in high school machine shop to custom mountain bike frames and film equipment — has grown into a full-service CNC and manual machining operation trusted by engineers, fabricators, and field operators across Canada and the U.S.

With over 37 years in the trade, the owner of Design Machine Tech brings deep technical knowledge, real-world problem solving, and a wide range of hands-on capabilities to every job. From micro parts for scientific tools to large plate steel for construction equipment — if it needs to be machined, we’ve likely done it.
 

His background includes:

• Tool & Die certification and lead hand experience in precision manufacturing

• CNC and manual machining for the film, construction, and railway industries

• Design and prototyping for proprietary hardware (including the world’s first MTB-specific gyro brake system)

• Long-term vendor relationships for anodizing, plating, and finishing
